- Do I need a referral from my therapist to come to The Center?
Information from your outpatient therapist is very helpful in organizing your admission to
The Center, but a referral from your therapist is not required.
- How much individual therapy will I receive?
Individual therapy is scheduled twice a week. The program is designed around the
effectiveness and power of the group process. Most of the therapeutic work is done in group.
- Should I bring my own medications?
Yes, pack a 3 day supply of meds in the pharmacy packaging. If you take an uncommon medication or vitamin regiment please discuss this with Florence Hannigan prior to admission.
- What should I pack?
The dress code on the unit for patients is casual.
- Pack your favorite and most comfortable clothes.
- There is a washer and dryer on the unit so you can do laundry when you need to.
- Bring one (1) stuffed animal if you wish.
- A bed pillow is a good idea.
- Your own toiletries.
** Please keep luggage to one bag as storage space is very limited.
- What is the average length of stay?
Ten (10) to twelve (12) days on average.
- Will you be contacting my outpatient therapist while I am in the hospital?
Yes. Your individual therapist here at The Center will be in contact with your outpatient therapist to
discuss clinical issues and discharge planning.
- What are visiting hours?
Visiting hours are scheduled daily, Monday-Friday 6:30 - 8:30PM, Saturday & Sunday 2PM - 4PM and 6:30PM - 8:30 PM.
- May I bring my cell phone?
Yes, you may bring and use your cell phone. You will have to sign your cell phone out to use it. Absolutely no cell phone can be used to record or take photographs of anything or anyone on the unit.
- May I call my therapist while I'm in the hospital?
You may have brief check in phone calls with your therapist while on The Center. You may not have therapy
sessions with your outpatient therapist on the phone.
